When my pacemaker was installed nearly five years ago, I had lots of questions. At that time my doctor said, "Forget all you ever heard about microwave ovens, airport security, and such. There are only three restrictions: (1) For the first two weeks, don't raise your left arm above your head. (2) Don't ever run a jackhammer again. (3) Never have an MRI."
I have had no problems with it, and at my last annual checkup the battery tested good for another four or five years.
