It's here!

Well it has arrived finally, no thanks to UPS who consistently lied through their teeth about a delivery date.

It is like Christmas Day for me - (yes, I am that shallow).

I did all my chores including massive paperwork for exporting ponies, cleaning one room with proper furniture polish (I am trying to keep on top of housework, by cleaning one room a day), and tidied up a bit.

Work over, I opened up the magic box and sniffed that glorious smell of new (almost-ok, refurb) Macbook Pro!

Next I couldn't open the thing and I admit to having a look in the instructions to see if there is a secret opening button.  Eventually I found you just sort of shove it open and ta da!

Now I am just using the Migration Set-up assistant, who is taking his time I can tell you, to set up a few things and I will hopefully be on my way.

Is it possible to use the Migration Set-up Assistant from 2 other Macs to talk to the Macbook Pro too?  I want to copy some apps.  If they are apps I have bought, will they just transfer over or will I have to get another registration number or pay out more money to put it onto my new computer?

Happy days.....

Congratulations! Glad it's got there - maybe they sent it to Berwick to start with....  rolleyes.gif

Might be worth putting the tech questions on a new thread in Tech - or an abbreviated version with a link to here. Some of the Tech regulars tend not to call in at Community very often..... But they'll be as delighted as you and I, so I'm sure you'll soon have your answers.

Don't overdo the housework - the place will only get dusty again anyway biggrin.gif

Congrats and enjoy, Frances. I don't have an answer about Migration Set-up Assistant, and like Neil, I suggest you put that question up in the Tech forum.
