Adobe releases PhotoShop Elements 9

Sounds like some niche improvements; the added/faked pano function might be handy, not sure I'd use any of the others. 8 was a very big improvement over 6, may wait for 10... And I certainly don't see 20GB for $50/year as a good deal! dntknw.gif

One hundred bucks?!?!?!?!

Are they nuts?!?!?!?!

Besides, I didn't see anything that interests me enough to move from PSE 3, 6 & 8 (and 8 has some issues that I just bet Adobe didn't fix).

Wow. Adobe sure thinks well of themselves. wink.gif

Content-aware fill is a pretty nifty feature...if the version in PSE is anything like the version in CS5.

I've yet to install my copy of CS5 - been too darned busy, but looking forward to playing! smile.gif

Anyway - you can download a trial version to see if you think it might be worthwhile.

I think they've always set the retail price at $99, but they also have that $20 rebate for several months. They probably also have a rebate if you've bought version 8 in the last few weeks/months. I hear the same complaints about Apple's iLife and iWork apps. dntknw.gif There's still things I never touch in Elements 8 but that's why I can't justify Photoshop or whatever it's called now! Can you even buy it separately? I've certainly got $80 worth of use out of Elements in the last two years. OTOH, I don't see that much in added features, either. Now, if some one around here wants to get me a Christmas present... Thinking.gif rofl.gif

Must admit, Sneakers "Scottishness" has worn off on me over the years and I've always held off until I could PSE for rock bottom prices. I've never paid more than $50 for any version of PSE. wink.gif

I'm still unimpressed with this edition, and until they fix a few things that are truly annoying to me (or someone blesses me with a fancy new iMac that requires it), I won't be upgrading.
