Firefox (3.6.12)quitting randomly...

Memory test seems ok, but i remember last year changing some parameters in "about:config"  , is there a way to reset it to normal?

Thanks

The about:config thread was about cookies not working properly - not quits/crashes.

However, if you want to put it back to normal, the thread is here: http://www.techsurvivors.net/forums/index....&hl=Firefox

I doubt that will do it, though. If it doesn't, try trashing the Firefox .plist (remove to desktop with FF closed, restart FF - if ok, then trash .plist, if not, put .plist back). You can also empty FF's cache. It's in /Users/(you)/library/application support/firefox/profiles/(xxx).default/cache

Sorry about that - the cache location I gave above was from an online post in another forum and it wasn't correct. dry.gif

The correct location:

user->Library->Caches (well, who'da thunk?? rolleyes.gif)->Firefox->Profiles->(xxxxx).default->Cache - and there are a whole bunch of files in there and you can safely delete all of them.

As for other cache files, yes, it is usually safe to delete all of them as the application just recreates them next time it opens (with different content of course!)
