Same guy created Trebuchet.

Here's why? There are more but it seems to me to be a subjective decision on the part of some and of absolutely no concern to others. After all, I can think of at least two more important topics in the World... These kinds of "discussions" remind me of the "fanboy" tags various computer user groups apply to those who use a different brand... I suspect that Mr. Connare simply got to close to the fire raining down on MS? Give the man a break, for cryin' out loud! rofl.gif Even I mayk misteaks evur wonce en a whiyl! WOW.gif

On a personal level, I hate! Hate! Hate! Comic Sans. The other day a friend sent out a notice about the death of a mutual friend -- and wrote the email in comic-sans bold! It was horrid to read such heart wrenching news in such an informal, care-less font. I only read the email because the subject line gave me a clue it was sad personal news. Chances are if you write to me in comic sans I'll trash your email without reading.

All the reasons why this font (doesn’t even deserve that tag) is wrong! Wrong! Wrong! can be found by reading the articles linked in Jim's original post.

Not that I'm opinionated about this or anything.  clown.gif deadhorse.gif soapbox.gif tease.gif

So, I guess you don't like Comic Sans, kimmer? wink.gif

It's overused - particularly in anything to do with kids or education, and for that reason alone, I won't use it, but using it for a death notice? That's just tacky.

kimmer, as I am your senior, I feel obligated to speak to your reticence where your emotions are being withheld from your friends. I earnestly plead, for your own good mental health, that you share your feelings about  instead of hiding behind the façade of indifference. You're pushing your emotions deeper into your psyche will, I fear, simply result in an embarrassing and extremely traumatic experience from which you and your family might never recover. Please, PLEASE, just let us know how you feel! I can guarantee you will feel better! And you know, deep down, that we would never bring up this matter again. And certainly not in any way allow it to affect the great work that we all appreciate so much. yes.gif tears.gif

Stupid me. I thought comics were still hand lettered.

I recently read a graphic novel about Anne Frank and came across a typo. The second "n" in the word "innermost" was reversed. Maybe using a computer font is why.

I think that in the proper document that Comic Sans would be okay!  I wouldn't push it for everything.

Krissel which IAWD?

IAWD   Inter-American Water Day
IAWD   Internationale Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Wasserwerke im Donaueinzugsgebiet
iAWD           Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (Suzuki SX4 crossover vehicle)
IAWD   International Alliance of Web Developers
IAWD   International Association of Webmasters and Designers
IAWD   Improved Action Working Dress (UK Royal Navy)

I suppose it's the fourth one!

As opposed to IDAW...which means I Don't Agree With...whoever. And the even less often used: IWAWinsert first initial of the persons nameIICUWHS! Which means, I Would Agree With insert first initial of the persons name If I Could Understand What He Said! wacko.gif scram.gif
