Dropbox progress status question
« on: February 04, 2011, 05:34:40 AM »
During transfer of a file into my Dropbox folder the file shows a circular blue icon with white arrows. After transfer it shows a green tick/checkmark.

However, when moving a large file, I can't find anything on the lines of a progress bar to give me some idea how far it's got. Maybe I just haven't found the right pref sad.gif

In the meantime, Activity Monitor does at least show me how quickly data is being sent but that still doesn't give me a clue how long it will take.

Anyone know where I should be looking - or know of a (preferably free) plug-in?

TIA
Neil

Maybe this will help, Neil?

On the Dropbox forums someone notes that clicking on the icon doesn't give you that info (it gives you your remaining quota) but hovering over it will show the time remaining.

That will do nicely. I'd done a search but obviously had not used the correct terms.

Many thanks, Paddy thumbup.gif

Neil, I don't think men should ever do the 'enter-words' searching method. It is obvious that women have ~29.45 words for every one possessed by a man... However, I have a 99.37% success rate at finding objects that my wife loses...while she's thinking of words to describe where something might be, I just go find it! rofl.gif

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
