Amazon rolling out Netflix-like streaming?

I suspect that the real "value" of the most video content is becoming clearer as the price drops...

I see it as a "loss leader" for Amazon. "Give away some junk and the masses will beat our doors down even more!" I'm probably just showing my age - "post-impulse-consumer." When do people have time to watch all this stuff? dntknw.gif But what really surprises me is that they are willing to actually pay for it! eek2.gif

The new Queen Antoinette quote? "Let them watch TV." laughhard.gif

Some of us actually enjoy sitting down in a comfy chair and watching movies and such.

Every day? Several times a day? Granted, there are some great movies and even a few TV shows that would be entertaining to see again. It would seem that the plans Netflix, and the others, seem to be made for those who want to see every film/show/video ever made, preferably in one year. laughhard.gif OTOH, I'm not sure they will all be too excited about watching it on a 480p screen... inspect.gif

And, I'll have to admit that we have watched almost a half dozen movies in the last year now that there is a "Red Box" machine at the grocery store. I think that's what it's call...Red something... dntknw.gif I didn't watch all of the ones brought home, however. Some were "chick-flicks!" eek2.gif
