Major cyber-espionage case revealed

Read an article about this yesterday. I always take these kinds of reports with several grains of salt. The article mentioned responses by several companies that they had not been notified by McAfee about the intrusions and wondered about how/why McAfee would know but not tell. Kinda makes me wonder the same thing. They claim it was all done 'legally' and that they broke no laws... I think we all already know that nothing we put on the web is safe, and there's not much the individual can do about it, once the info is provided. The 'solution' for us is to simply not provide anything more than the absolute minimum. The bigger problem is that we have little knowledge about how our private info is being protected or even that it is being stolen.

Since the 'report' comes from people with a decidedly vested interest in making money on the "news" I don't think it is creditable as it should be. That it is probably true is almost irrelevant since we don't have control over all the places that have our info. If these companies don't care if their own data is protected, why should we feel they would protect ours? :roll eye:
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
CAUTION! Childhood vaccinations cause adults!
