CCC vs DejaVu
« on: June 28, 2003, 02:11:05 PM »
I decided to clean out my slave drive (10.1.5) and copy over my primary (10.2.6) to it. I used carbon Copy Cloner from the days of 10.1.5 and started the transfer. It hung at 'Desktop DB' for 3 hours.
I stopped the process and dl'd the latest copy of CCC and began again. This time it made it 3/4 of the way to 'private' and hung again.
As you can imagine, by this time I was becoming rather frustrated. I remembered the app DejaVu being mentioned earlier on TS so I trashed all aspects of CCC and downloaded DV.
I fired it up and being as how it was 1:00 am by this time, I went to bed. Up and shinning at 6:00 am and lo and behold I had a brand new bootable and fully functional 10.2.6 on the slave drive.
TS to the rescue again. Thanks  folks! thanx.gif  biggrin.gif

What version of CCC are you using?

According to Versiontracker 2.2 is the latest version:
