US Wind Map
« on: March 30, 2012, 08:57:10 PM »
You've seen temperature maps, rain maps, snow maps; now there is a wind map. It's pretty cool. Looks like hair blowing in the wind.

Read about it here http://mashable.com/2012/03/28/wind-map/

See it here http://hint.fm/wind/
Cheers, Tom

Well, it's a nice looking map but it is obviously incorrect. Everyone knows the vast majority of "wind" in this country is around Washington, D.C. and the map doesn't indicate that at all. wacko.gif
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
CAUTION! Childhood vaccinations cause adults!

Interesting but would be much easier to appreciate if there were colors coded to the wind speed.  smile.gif

I have subscribed to this one for years, its about $100/year
https://www.iwindsurf.com/
But now you can get this one for free,

But I LOVE your new one, just wish it was in color. Thank you for the link.

Yeah, the Wash DC wind is very hot and tends to go straight upwards.
