DropBox doubles your referral storage space!

I have to agree with <Adam Engst> that it is "a truly classy move!" You now get 500MB for every referral! I haven't referred anyone to DropBox in years! But I now have 5.8GB free! clap.gif The free amount tops out at 16GB now.

Came  as a pleasant surprise to find my Dropbox now stands at a magnificent 3GB. However, with a 2Mbps connection, using it is hardly instant (not that that is the fault of Dropbox) wink.gif

Is that 2Mps every where or just across the Pond? wink.gif Maybe you could move to the Emerald Isle and get a slightly faster speed. I hear there are some real estate margins there, also! sad.gif

I just checked, and yep, I now have 3.5 GB. smile.gif
Ignore the argumentative nature of this poster. He is old and can't engage in meaningful dialog very long.
Therefore, management asks that you at least humor him. Thanks.

Ours is an ADSL line over old BT (British Telecom) cable strung from a streetpole. We're as far as is possible from the exchange (the next street is a different dialling code) which is why we couldn't get broadband at all until about five years ago. Virgin Cable is the fastest available in the UK but is only available in some areas. Top speed claims "up to" 30Mbps but that is not cheap. For all the uploading and serious downloading done here it doesn't bother me overmuch.

Ah, yes, the DSL 'gotcha!' "Fast speeds divided by the distance from the switch" formula that they don't want you to know about... I think they just need to increase the electronic 'pressure' in those 'pipes!' wallbash.gif Seems to work in plumbing... until the pipes burst and flood your basement! eek2.gif sos.gif drown.gif
