In Finder->View-> as List mode, when  a folder is opened, Is there a way to slow down the scrolling when clicking on the Up or Down arrows?

Not that I know of.

Have you tried using a scroll-wheel mouse/trackpad? I'm using Lion and there are no arrows in those scroll bars anymore! wink.gif
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

Don't hold the mouse button down? wink.gif

I just toggle on and off the button - either clicking rapidly or more slowly as I get closer to my target in a long list.

My main problem is inadvertent activity via my Magic Mouse. I like this mouse - except when I suddenly find myself on the previous web page. dry.gif May fiddle a bit more with my MagicPrefs to see if I can find a combination of things that works better.

BTW - Jim's suggestion to get a mouse that does scrolling is a good one. There are many to choose from - including the Magic Mouse, which works a bit like a trackpad in that you just stroke its surface - there is no wheel. I don't think I could function for long without a pointing device that did scrolling!! tongue.gif
