More! "Christmas" in June
« on: June 26, 2003, 10:07:52 AM »
Warmest Greetings to You All,

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere and heartfelt "Thanks" to the following people who have made my continuing "Adventures..." possible,
in a real and tangible way.

RHPConsult: the prime  mover and my Mentor.  choosing to  remain behind the scenes - coordinating,  advising and only Heaven knows what else you did to make my "Christmas" in June happen.

Bernie:  Who sent me the entire 4400/200 System
and made sure that I had all the necessary programs in place and ready to use.

pendragon: Who sent me my first books on the Mac
( helping to lift me out of my complete ignorance of all things computer) and for the CD's to upgrade the "old" Mac.

Paddy: Who came to my rescue and sent me a 17"  Monitor, when the Monitor
Bernie had sent sustained damage during the delivery process.

beacher: Who has sent me Disk Warrior and instructions for its use.

I appreciate all your
sustained efforts to make sure that I was equipped with  all the'presents' to get the job done, and of course, to continue in my "Adventures..."

More than this, I appreciate your unselfish generosity in giving of your very valuable time.

I continue to be astonished and subsequently, humbled by the many blessings I have received from you, TS members; and I am uplifted by your generosity of spirit.

PS:  I have been  taking a much needed rest at home, from everything except Radiation Treatments.  Radiation Treatment is taking its toll on my energy already.  I look forward to rejoining you all very soon.

May you, in turn, be richly blessed.
Gratefully, Myrna

Aw shucks Miss Myrna, t'weren't nothin! blush-anim-cl.gif

It's them others whut done the real work and can (even) answer questions and know where of they speak. Note: for those who are not consultants, these are two, sometimes three, separate issues with independent billing...

Harv, Hello,

I cannot emphasize enough how important your gifts have been.

My Mac tomes accompany all over the house and are never out of my reach.  Whenever I run into a problem - I reference the tomes.
This proved vital when I found myself unable to get into the TS Forum due to ISP (WebTV/MSN) problems  not too many days ago.

I can't thank you enough for these great reference tools.

Afternoon Dreambird,

I was so excited to receive the 17"  Monitor. My vision became blurry during the Chemotherapy and having the larger screen seems to have helped reduce that problem.

Believe me, I've missed you all too!  I have just had so much to do and not enough energy to do it all.  I just took a two hour nap!

I'm off to post more about my continuing "Adventures..."

Always good to hear from you,
Myrna

Hi Trish,
Have you checked your email?  I just got home from choir practice and found yours waiting for me.  I just sent it out.

There were lots of replies about ISP's to my last topic.  I had set up an appointment for Cox Cable but I cancelled.
They wanted too much money, $79 for installation, $60 for the modem and $ 39.95 a month for Internet service.  Those who replied said I should shop around for a better deal.  It was even suggested that I try a different dial up service for a while to see if I liked that and could live with it.

Considering all the excitement around my house, Radiation Treatment every day, Choir practice and learning my new music parts, studying and playing with the new toys, I haven't had much time to do much of anything else.  And of course, I have to find  time to watch Wimbledon Tennis.  I have my favorites, mostly American players.  I guess you could say I have been a tad busy lately.

thanx.gif Bernie,

I won't forget it!

Just think, it has only been a little over  two weeks since I came to the TS Forum.

It really makes me happy to know that I have your encouragement and support and those of the TS community.

This is life at its best!

I can't wait for another "Adventure" into Mac Land.

Myrna

Greetings All,

I just wanted to add another name to the list of those who have gifted me with Mac presents.
Please see my edited list.

I am at home resting from all my exertions of the last several weeks.

I continue to be uplifted by all your help.

Very Sincerely,
Myrna
