I've never used or been associated with TOR. I guess it comes down to using the tools already available (VPN, NoScript, Firewalls, etc.) and trusting the devils we know as opposed to the 'devils' we don't.

Sorry for not thinking about sending the link. I get a list of Mac software downloads in a weekly email from CNET and this is one of those listed. Sounds like a neat thing if it works as described. I was interested in knowing if it was something in use and useful or no but, as a well versed Mac person, you seem to be telling me we have pretty much all we need within the system already to protect us as we surf the web. I like your "devils" analogy.
