Screamin Bullet
« on: July 05, 2003, 04:16:35 PM »
Hi, I was cleaning the basement and found my old Macintosh LC. So I figured I would fire it up, but all I get is the "?" mark, so I put in the "System Startup" floppy and it started up on that, so I ran DiskSetup and first aid but it can't find the Harddrive. I checked the connections and Zapped the Pram, but it still can't find the SCSI drive.
Would it matter if the battery was dead,?? And does anyone have anymore Ideas to fire up this sceamin Bullet up.??

With a 40 meg Harddrive and 10 megs of ram and 25 MGz Processor this baby should fly,HA? HA?

Thanks for any info thanx.gif

LC Series/Quadra 605

"With a dead battery, these often fail to start up at all - you may hear the hard drive spin for a moment, but the screen remains black."

Thanks for the info, I'll try a new battery. How do you know the make, All I see on the front of the computer is Macinotish LC.

On the back of the monitor it says " Macintosh "12' RGB Display" which is seperate from the hard drive.

I f i boot from the floppy it says Finder 6.1.7, System 6.0.7
If I run Disk First Aid, it can't find a hard drive to check.

It's quite likely the hard drive has failed. Sorry...
