Going To Hawaii
« on: January 30, 2013, 04:50:53 PM »
Aloha Kakou,

My wife and I are leaving for Hawaii tomorrow and won't be back until Feb 11th. We'll be on the warm, sunny beach at Waikiki in Honolulu for a week, and then off to Maui for 3 days.   party.gif

The Waikiki beach hotel we are staying at only has wifi in the lobby and ethernet in the rooms. However, it costs $10 a day to connect. I'm taking my laptop and iPad but probably won't use them much.
Cheers, Tom

Wait! If you'd told us earlier, we all would have been packed and ready to go with you. laugh.gif

Have a grand time and leave the computing alone (unless you need to contact family).

Envious? Of COURSE I'm envious! In the past week we've had freezing temperatures, snow, followed by sudden thaw and torrential rain and gales. Now it's reasonably mild (in the high 40s F) and then they tell us it will probably snow this weekend. As Billy Connolly put it - "if you don't like the weather in Britain, just stick around for 20 minutes....."

Anyway, have a good trip and just relax and enjoy that sun. The electronics can wait thumbup.gif

Had a great time in Hawaii. Even though I took my laptop and iPad, I never looked at Techsurvivors. Only checked email and Facebook. Was having too much fun doing other things.

Did learn some Hawaii trivia.

There are only 12 letters in the Hawaiian alphabet.
    •    Vowels: A, E, I, O, U
    •    Consonants: H, K, L, M, N, P, W

The sand on Waikiki beach was imported from California.
Cheers, Tom
