Noticed my ((( Bong ))) wasn't there on reboot or startup this afternoon.
Yet my external speakers were working sort of. Some tones weren't coming through quite right.

SOOoooooo ...

Check the sound pane. Fine.
Check a few other things in Jag before rebooting into 9.
Everything in 9 was fine.

Rebooted with a utilities cdr.
Ran all the utilities. A-OK. Except while I was booted from the cdr, cleaned up a few partitions.
Booted with DW 3. Fine.
Pramed in three flavors.

Last but not least checked the "Y" splitter between the speakers and the 'puter.
Loose as a goose!

I know I've a dunce gif somewhere in all these folders!!! /grumble grumble\

Think I'll watch 'Gangs Of New York" again. If I can find the remote. smile.gif

Without telling him I found the cause I called my local mac dealer this morning 'just' to hear his input on what the skinny was.
"First off. Check your speaker connections. If they're fine then it sounds like a pram issue.Bring it in if you want but try these first". Then he told me how to do the pram jive and TTP etc etc. I told him I'm at a jobsite although I've already done all that and have TTP blah blah.
"Well when you get home, check those speakers again. If that's not it,bring it in BUT bring a burger for my -look see- cus the wife has my car and I'm starved.

Bought him a superduper size burger and coke on the way home and told him I figured it out. biggrin.gif
