I had no idea "plug-ugly" had such a long, if unfortunate, history! We had plenty of that type person in many areas of my life! laughhard.gif The term was often preceded by the Southern 'blessing;' seldom understood by the 'blessed' one. ("Bless her heart, she just doesn't know she's plug-ugly." inspect.gif )

That was fascinating.

I went on to read more.

Writing my blog has made me realise you don't all speak like we do!  The mundane phrases I use everyday, imnowmhave to define.  Obviously, for Shetland or Scottish words, but sometimes for English slang too.
