How to make a speech interesting and entertaining
« on: February 27, 2013, 01:54:14 AM »
Two impressive video presentations
Each started with an ad that can be skipped after five seconds. Hope they both play for people outside the UK.

Changing Education Paradigms
The Secret Powers of Time (or living in a digital world).

The animations got me listening to the end of talks that I might not have followed to the conclusion. Not sure whether it says more about me than about the animations but I understood what was being said. Whether I agree is another matter but I understood what was being said.

Fine examples of  the power of animation from the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce).

Thanks! Very interesting process; converting speech into graphics.

Were these recordings of <TED Talks>?

Sometimes the graphics helped, but too many times they distracted me. Probably a left/right brain problem for me.
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
