I have been involved for a while with creating Time Lapse sequences. The old Quicktime Pro (Version 7) served me well, but the upgrade to QT 10.1 - necessitated by upgrading my OS to Lion (10.7.5) - does not. So I am now using Time Lapse Assembler.app which is simple to use, allows choices of CODEC and of frame speed on playback etc. My problem arose when I tried to add music to the resulting Quicktime Movie. The Apple info sheet tells users to drag down from File (when in QT) to "Import" and then select the desired music track. Sadly however when I tried this there is no "Import" link under File. So where to from here? Any ideas anyone? I was hoping to avoid the complexities of iMovie, having struggled with it in the past!
For the record: my iMac is about 5 years old, the OS has been regularly updated animal by animal to Lion, but I haven't yet dared to move to Mountain Lion, as I don't use the Cloud much, don't have other Apple products (can't afford them!) and I'm worried about future incompatibilities, perhaps irrationally! I use Photoshop CS5 all the time for processing the raw shots from my newest camera a SONY A65 ( all sorts of lenses) which I love! Just returned from a photographic weekend with like-minded shutterbugs to a high country lake near the 8000 ft peaks of the Southern Alps. We were there well before dawn which made it magical! Cheers!
