MacBook Pro Battery
« on: August 07, 2013, 06:22:53 PM »
Can't remember, is this the series of MacBook that started the "Not serviceable by user" era in MBP batteries?

Daughter's computer is needing a new battery, just wondering what the best course of action is before I plunk down hard cash.

TIA,

<This link> might be helpful, but it's several years old! I'm not sure what the final result was, either. And I can't vouch for the guy that started the thread... He's sometimes seen with a lot of booze!!! eek2.gif

I'm not sure of the model, but I'd suggest visiting <OWC> and <iFixit> for replacement info.

Chris, the batteries are user replaceable and relatively easy to replace;

The site Kris bought from no longer exists, so you'll have to hunt up a new source.
