Macbook to DVI monitor

Hi,

What adapter (name) do i need to connect this macbook

to a DVI monitor...(already received the wrong one )

I there a DVI switcher  to share the monitor between the DA and Macbook ?

You apparently have a "MACBOOK (13-INCH LATE 2007)" and this page at Apple has the adapter cable as a M9321G:

  Since apparently your Macbook speaks French there is probably a similar page over at Apple where you are!  I hope that helps; did the wrong one look like the pictures at the second link?

On the Switchbox you're probably needing something more like a KVM box here:

I don't imagine a mechanical only switchbox would work with DVI signals without something shorting out or glitching!

As the cable is long enough to connect to my monitor, is there a short adapter between this mini DVI to the DVI for my Powerbook (3.1)

ADSR, I believe that what you are showing is the picture of a longer cable that you already have and I think it is the wrong gender on the larger DVI side.  I've never seen a DVI gender bender myself but they do exist.  Is this the problem or is the pin-out incorrect for your monitor?  Some Powermacs (including one that I own) offer a DVI style connector that includes connections for USB and are wider than the standard and that have more pins.  There are also some connectors that look "correct" but that have a blade in the wrong position (there are pins and blades both) and it stops it from plugging into certain connectors.

The cable is the one i received....

But the little male DVI is too small , the femelle on the Macbook is wider

The other male DVI at the end of  the cable is ok and fits well on my monitor, and the  cable is long enough to go from the Macbook to the monitor

Maybe there's an adapter to put on the little DVI to fit  the Macbook plug....or i buy the right cable ,but wich one..?

I'm not sure but I guess that the smaller connector in your picture "could" be a mini-displayport connector?  Not really clear enough for me to tell.  This connector is used on newer Macbook and Macbook Pro's is is the same connector as is called Thunderbolt on the newest models.  I'm not seeing much that adapts the mini-dvi to mini-displayport but did see this Youtube:

I order i think the right adapter, mini DVI to DVI femelle and a DVI cable.

According to MacTracker the MacBook 3,1 definitely requires a Mini-DVI connector.

As someone already observed your cable looks like a MiniDisplay Port which is a different beast altogether.

Forget adapting the MiniDVI to the MiniDisplay connector.  Too many adapters is a recipe for signal degradation to the monitor.

Seriously suggest you get the correct adapter, namely MiniDVI to DVI which can be had from Monoprice for less than $5.  And a DVI cable to connect the adapter to the monitor.....

Received the right adapter, MiniDVI to DVI ...

Fits  the macbook but does'nt stay well, kind of loosy connection , does'nt lock...is it normal whith this kind of adapter?

Should the real Apple one be better?

Tryed whith the monitor ,nothing happening,  

Is there something to set up whith the macbook .. ?

There was a design philosophy around those loose connectors preventing damage to the laptop I believe when something clumsy happens; same reasoning that later lead to the magsafe power connectors. My advice would be to get used to it and learn to work around it!

Oh, that could account for a connector being loose! I'd assumed that you were in the right connector and it was still loose; I've squeezed loose connectors "ever-so-slightly" with pliers upon occasion when necessary to tighten them up.  This wouldn't fix the problem of using the wrong port though!
