So I overlook just a teeny, tiny detall of this teeny, tiny item on MacResQ's web site

So I wait for my delivery, Airborne Ground, I think it was. After all I'm patient.

So it arrives.

1 box, approximately 10 x 12 x 4
1 invoice 8.5 x 11 x ?
1 bubble pack (rolled) 6 x 8

AND, taH-DUM  

1 foot, that's riiiight, 1 . . .  not 1 ea set of 4, just 1

Sure enough, the web page says . . . This is one foot only

Did I see that? 'Course not. Call it a Senior Moment (in between the laughs, or were those tears?)

PS: One more significant detail, right there on the box, just above the Signature Required label is another label adminishing the eager customer to Please inspect and test your product immediately . . .

Oh! my! All this entertainment for only $10.46, incl tax . . . . (or have I made the Friday Funnies?)

Yup... the "real" Apple replacement feet are expensive little buggers...  

I can have them for about $30 CDN. from the Mac store here, in a strip of 5 feet.

It was a couple of mine that fell off on the Lombard, you can't drag these PB's even just a little on a bare surface... when warm the glue softens and there go the feet.

Don't know the real look on your face after opening the package, but the vision conjured up in my mind is a gem.  

Read many years ago that a $15,000 auto (a real long time ago) would cost $75,000 if assembled of and at the cost of all the constituent parts from a replacement parts catalog.  Wonder what a Pismo is worth as a sum of its replacement parts?

I still like my Wallstreet "feet", 8 for $ 1.49, TruValue hardware.

Just think, after a long day at the sponge docks, coming home to a pair of happy feet.

You could also have twice as many shoes, and maybe a bigger closet to put them in!!!

I returned my "item" in a Nr 10 envelope, despite MacResQ's admonition that any RMA items must have all packing materials, manuals . . . accessories and documentation . . . included to avoid a packaging fee. Stay tuned.

Dick, I've got one for you. Bought a mailbox the other day. Comes with everything you need, well, almost. You'd think they'd throw in the numbers that fit in the space provided. Nope. Had to run back to a store (or two) to buy numbers. At least this way, I only had to buy the ones I needed!
