What did the temp hit there today?

Here it topped out at 111 around noon in my yard. Stayed over 100 till about 5.30pm.
Was worse farther east. 122 at 'Blithe' the river.

Needles to say. I didn't get much done in the field.

Hi Bill, We sure didn't get near your areas temps. Here near the coast got about 80 to 85. The SF Valley about 90f to 95f Boy You can Fry an egg on you Auto's Hood. "Do it now" LOL

You know how dessert rocks are supposed to be some what cold after the first layer or so.?. Don't know who the rocket scientist was that came up that theory .... sure as hades was never in my area or southern Arizona etc.
I've dropped an egg on a snapped rock and watched it fry in seconds many times. <gr>
