Elgato diversity
« on: August 11, 2014, 12:45:32 PM »
did a ts search and the last enquiry on this subject was 2009. I did have the wonderful Terratec2 (died on me) single tuner, things have moved on and am wondering if Elgato Diversity (twin tuners)
would fit the bill for my 28in iMac. My concern is that  it has only one female socket for coaxial aerial cable, can someone point me in the right right direction please.

Which way are you facing, now?!

I don't think I want to get involved in a discussion about "diversity" and "female" parts... although I think I've heard of 'gender changers' and splitters... scram.gif I only ask that you remember this is a Family Friendly forum... laughhard.gif

Hi George.

Regardless of Jim.....smile.gif

Reading through the info here it seems that the signal is split internally from the one co-ax aerial input.

Neil, looking at the unit in situ why does it require TWO aerial inputs I can see the where my co-ax aerial would plug into the unit but why the other socket on the side of the unit? which to me does not take a co-ax cable, are you saying that socket becomes obsolete?.
Confusing ain't it.

No wonder things are so expensive 'over there'! We learned, long ago, that cardboard is much cheaper than tin for making boxes! Another advantage is that no one can remove the little price stickers without damaging the box! Cuts down on shoplifting! rolleyes.gif And, we use plastic, whenever possible. That stuff can last for centuries! Even if it's covered with dirt in a land-fill! yes.gif You've just got to stop thinking of us as "those rebellious, stupid, unappreciative colonies"! We are very appreciative! scram.gif
