Problem with Sophus software.
« on: May 26, 2015, 03:17:44 PM »
Evidentially Sophus software (if you have it on your system) is putting out a bogus error message / lockout indicating that there is malware on the TS site.

Paddy has contacted our host site support, they have run a check with their malware checker and find no such problem.
If you encounter this message/lockout, just turn off/ disable the Sophus software on your system and continue on accessing the site.
A Small Orange has suggested that Sophus be contacted for a "do over" check and a report of what THEIR problem is with the TS site.

Just for the record I tried turning off the web scanning part of the software, and still couldn't get in here. Then I turned Sophos completely off on my iMac, and I still couldn't get in to TS. I finally had to uninstall it completely. I won't be reinstalling it.

To uninstall Sophos:
Applications folder > Run the 'Remove Sophos Anti-Virus' application.

It will take a bit to do it's thing, and you'll need the admin login information.

Thanks, Kimmer, for the first hand account. and thanks to Paddy for working with ASO to get things identified.
Don't have/use it myself, so couldn't explain clearly.
