Do people really bite
« on: May 18, 2015, 11:08:13 AM »
Answered a phone call at noon today. A recorded foreign-sounding male voice said, "Your computer is sending us a warning. Press one to speak to a Microsoft certified engineer."

I hung up without saying anything.
I'm not a complete idiot -- a few parts are missing!

Oh yes, they do, as unbelievable as it seems. Just like people bite when someone phones them up offering to clean their ducts, or telling them they've won a free vacation etc. etc. If nobody bit, then they wouldn't do it. wink.gif

I only wish the "Window Engineers" that keep on calling me spoke English well-enough to understand that I'm telling them
I don't even have any Windows machines.  This isn't really true but only an attempt to have them stop calling.  Incoherence
reigns!

The confusion caused by the thread title aside, I was reminded of a statement I read only yesterday (which I can now not find, of course wallbash.gif ). "Things start going wonky when Windows are opened!" rolleyes.gif

BTW, I'm sending the image to my brother, the engineer... thumbup.gif laughhard.gif
