Questions ... what is OWC, and do I have to subscribe to be able to buy Jaguar at this price?

Two, since OS 9 isn't included, I have tons of questions - but a biggy is ...

Can I intall this and still keep OS 9 on my partition, or will Jag wipe it out?

Two, I seldom start up in OS 9 (ummm ... it's been so long, I'm not sure I'd remember how ... LOL) ... but I do work in Classic a great deal. Is Classic available in Jag?

Gads .. Sneakers wouldn't kick and scream over this deal.    wink.gif

Kimmer, OWC=Other World Computing, a Mac upgrade specialist that many of us deal with on occasion. Very knowlegable folk, good prices, reasonable shipping. If you want to subscribe to their mailing list (I do - it comes out 2-3 times a month, and they DON'T sell your email to anyone else!) go to this page:

http://eshop.macsales.com/List/List.cfm

About two years ago (?) I had a very long and very entertaining conversation about all things Mac with Ryan Rempel, creator of XPostFacto, the application that permits OS X to run on legacy Macs not supported by Apple. (He's OWC's OSX Guru)I must have talked to him for half an hour - and not much of that was on whatever the technical question I had regarding an order! Now that's tech support! smile.gif

Thanks Paddy, I signed up for the list. Of course, now I'm more confused than ever on which upgrade to buy ... laugh.gif

Kimmer. smile.gif

The $10 is for the Pre-Jaguar OS X 10.1 of course.

Not good for a lot except to learn OS X cheaply. IMO.

If you're getting Jaguar for $90 you don't have to subscribe.

Different Company.

You may want to subscribe to OWC in any case. Wouldn't hurt. smile.gif

Kimmer.
Just jump to Jag.
Like Kelly wrote, 10.1. is kind of a learner.
You can learn from the Jag just as well.

I found the upgrade (which is all I need) for $49.99, so I'm going to splurge.  smile.gif
