Apple Releases 10.10.4 Update!
« on: June 30, 2015, 01:01:19 PM »
MacRumors reports that this is so:

QUOTE
The biggest change in OS X 10.10.4 is the elimination of the discoveryd process that's been accused of being responsible for some significant networking and WiFi bugs within Yosemite. Discoveryd is a networking process that was introduced in Yosemite to replace mDNSresponder, but it caused problems like slow wake from sleep, failures to resolve DNS names, duplicate machine names, WiFi disconnects, excessive CPU usage, battery drain, and more. In 10.10.4, discoveryd has been replaced with the older mDNSresponder process.

I was bored so I ran it on the Office Macpro!  rolleyes.gif

So far, I've had to read the End User Agreement that takes into account the Streaming and when it tried to return me to the Store it restarted! FUN!

In the end it all worked great!  I'll have to check all the apps to see if anything didn't like the change.

I downloaded and installed it. So far, all seems well. I took the usual precaution of making a clone of my 10.10.3 system before installing the update. The download, via the App Store, weighed in at 1.09 GB and took about 6 minutes to download with my internet connection. The actual installation took about 15 -20 minutes, including two restarts.
