So...still no word on whether it's launching here in Canada or not. Our Apple Music page just says "coming soon" - no date. sad.gif In fact, every other country I checked apart from the US said "coming soon" - France, Germany, UK, Australia, which is strange since I keep reading that it's launching in over 100 countries on June 30. Guess we'll know tomorrow!

Who's going to try it out? 3 months free is pretty nice - I'm sure I'll check it out.

I'm not in their "demographic" target audience. wink.gif We bought a couple of cars a few years ago. They came with SiriusXM limited trials. I've managed to get deeply discounted renewals (which anyone with enough patience can do). If it weren't for my wife wanting it, and a few times a year traveling out of the local HD FM range, I'd dump it in a New York minute. I only have a couple of talk (actually NPR) stations assigned. If I want to hear music, I'll pick the ones I want, "thank you very much!" laughhard.gif If I want "change" I'll go to the bank! They can also give me "new"! tongue.gif

I'm pretty happy jogging between several streaming stations (2 NPR) in the Internet Radio stations.  Other than slipping the local NPR station a few every year I'm not
likely to be handing anyone $10 a month for the this.

Well, it's now working here in Canada, so I'll take it out for a spin. Not sure I'd be willing to pay $10 a month for it once the free trial is over, in that I have a huge collection of music already and have a couple of streaming radio stations I love (Radio Paradise being my fave - ad free and I do send them a donation every year or so) but we'll see.

Bit of a glitch...Apple Music is available and works on iOS devices (apparently - haven't tried it yet). However, it requires iTunes 12.2, but there is no update available yet! Oops. Someone at Apple is asleep at the switch. (?)

This is how to turn off the automatic billing once you do get the thing engaged:

It's actually pretty cool - I picked a bunch of artists I liked and it's presented me with some very cool playlists. I think I could get quite addicted to this. Will have to see what the rest of the family thinks - a family membership between the 4 of us would be quite reasonable. (though my children, despite my lecturing, still seem to acquire much of their music for free...sigh. I give them iTunes cards for Christmas, so at least they buy SOME stuff. dry.gif)

The only other issue would be keeping them from using it on our cell plan! Son #2 is working at a camp this summer where there is wifi in one building for the staff, and apparently he thought he was using it. He wasn't. He managed to go through 4GB of our 8GB allowance in the first 4 days of this billing period - he had to be either watching video or playing games. Luckily I discovered it, because son #1 is in Europe, using Rogers "Roam Like Home" service which accesses that 8GB of data. I suspect July may see some overages...
