SWMBO and I are currently "camped" out at a KOA at Bear Lake  UT.  This lake straddles the Idaho  Utah border and is fantastically beautiful. We are in possession of all of the toys Mac, iPad(s) iPhone and the  KOA has an incredibly fast WI-FI,    AND Apple Mail  WORKS.  thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

How can that be???  blink.gif blink.gif   Heretofore anytime either or both of us traveled we had to use "webmail".

OSX 9.5
MAIL: 7.3

I do have an iCloud IMAP account active but not signed into iCloud.
 a Gmail POP account
and a POP account with my Domain provider.

I have been cruising along here for years, fat dumb and happy, and apparently  uneducated. I was under the impression that when you left the geographic range of your ISP would require the use of "webmail"   wacko.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif

Nope, you can use whatever email app you like from wherever you are. I travel a lot, all over the US, Canada, and next month I'll be touring Europe for a couple of months, and I just use Apple's Mail app. smile.gif

True, we're in Banff right now, but I have free internet access with a 'club' card. After I connect to the web, my wife can check her emails directly in Mail rather than using the usually klunckie web-based interface. smile.gif Of ours, you still want to watch the 'kind' of messages you send/read (or even download) since you are putting a lot of trust in the security of the local hotel... THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
