I learned a new trick today...

I just found out that in OS X you can spellcheck even when you're typing in a reply window while online!

If you have a two/three button mouse, it's a simple right click to bring up the menu. Otherwise, on a single button mouse, it would be Control-Click.

Bruce...I have a  single click mouse and your instructions brought up the Internet  Help menu...no spell check, un less it is  buried in Help  Menu.

June, a single click mouse should bring up this menu:



when you Control Click inside the reply window.

This spell check option is a service and can work for just about any OSX app, because of how OSX services work.  I also add popular aliases to the library's open with folder, to open programs in different apps from this contextual menu.  rolleyes.gif

Testing. This is a test.

The testing above was done in camino.
Doesn't work with Camino. For me at least.

Now I'm doing the edit in Safari.

Doesn't seem to work in Navigator either. (not surprising, since it doesn't work in NS or Camino!) You get the Edit menu options - cut, paste etc. No spelling.

Caminos speed keeps me along for the ride yet lately I'm finding a few flaws [or close to needs] which I'm now starting to point towards Safari. Not just yet though
