really annoyed with them if they decide to jettison it!
As several people have pointed out, losing either of these ports/slots won't make much difference to the overall size of the computer. Enough with trying to make everything thinner and lighter - some of us actually need some functionality - that doesn't require yet another thing plugged into the scant 2 USB ports/something else to carry in the laptop bag!! And if they (and Intel) in fact are trying to get rid of the audio port and move to USB 3.1 as per the comment after the article, then they really do need to give us another USB port. 2 is not enough NOW half the time.
MBPs are used by people doing real WORK, Apple - not just people posting their latest snaps to photostream etc. (which I never use - I'd use up my space on iCloud in about 5 minutes if I did that)
