Stuck on Yahoo

Every time I try to look up something by typing in the URL space in Safari the results are displayed in Yahoo instead of Google. I went into Google prefs and indicated the search engine I wanted to use was Google. Didn't change a thing.

How do I get back to having Google be my main search engine?

Maybe you should try setting your desired Search Engine in Safari->Prefs->Search->"Search engine:" drop-down menu.

I did that.No change.

Well, that's where the setting is. Perhaps a Restart will help clear the Safari Prefs.    But that shouldn't be required. You may need to also clear Safari's cache.
