THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

But this is all old, old, stuff; I've got some of the same in the basement; here's another, more practical use
of old hardware:

We need to learn a lesson about needless consumerism from this auto repair shop in Gdansk, Poland. Because it still uses a Commodore 64 to run its operations. Yes, the same Commodore 64 released 34 years ago that clocked in at 1 MHz and had 64 kilobytes of RAM. It came out in 1982, was discontinued in 1994, but it’s still used to run a freaking company in 2016. That’s awesome.

I wonder what people are using old Mac's and Apple computers for?

Talking of old technology... visiting my brother recently, I spotted a 14in portable analogue TV.

"Why have you still got that?"
"It's the only screen that works with my Oric."

I don't know which model he has but Wikipedia about Orics tells us that its makers went into receivership (went bust) "for the second and final time" in December 1987.

When I was trying to find a home for my old Atari ST, my offer to him got the response: "I've been told I have more than enough old computers" biggrin.gif

MacMini (2018) OS10.14.6 (Mojave). Monitor: LG 27in 4K Ultra HD LED.
15in MacBook Pro (Mid 2014) OS10.13.4 (High Sierra);
15in MacBook Pro (2010), (ex-Snow Leopard); now OS10.13.6 (High Sierra); 500GB Solid-State SATA drive; 4GB memory.
