I depended on Comcast to input the info they entered on a paper receipt I was given showing a piece of hardware had been returned to them. Paper, smaper! Who needs/uses paper?! Their copy of that document probably went into 'file 13' before I left the building! Unfortunately, I failed to follow up and double-check their 'performance'. I didn't realize that was part of the "customer's" job description!
Short story; they refunded me several months of the $5/mon rental fees I'd paid when I finally (fingers crossed) got the erer straightened out!
One way or another, we 'pay' for our 'education'.
I think I still have paper receipts from the cable company for equipment turned back in to them 3-4 years ago. One can't be too careful!
