gmann - Dock
« on: July 25, 2003, 06:05:08 PM »
No reason to highjack the other thread. So. smile.gif

I just took a quick look around to see were TransparentDock put the originals.
Couldn't find them no where, no how.
Yet I can hit the restore button (didn't try it nor care too) on the TD app.

Guess what I'm saying is ((careful bud)) if you decide to try TD cus even though my restore button is not grayed out, with all the updates I've done of late, could be my dock originals went poof-in-the-night somehow.

My dock is not transparent,  I can watch it dive below the screen mask and then latter pop back up.  It is the same effect as hide or show in the dock preference panel in the apple menu. Only I have no control of it.

I'm sure you've tried unchecking the boxes at the bottom of the dock settings and turning magnification way down or off but gotta ask anyhoo. <gr>
What about your mouse settings? Are they cranked up full blast by chance?

Reason why I haven't or didn't mention reinstall the OS through custom for 'dock only' is because ... 1) Don't know if that can be done. 2) What a pain.

Reads like a preference issue yet you tried that road.

Bill: I had an app called MultiDock installed and it caused the problem. I did a find search and trashed it, Now everything is functioning properly. Thanks for all of the input. biggrin.gif
