I'm pretty sure this won't effect anything where I work but the 1st Generation Apple TV's are now considered to be obsolete by Apple. No more updates so they're insecure!
There may not be a whole lot of nostalgic love out there for the original Apple TV, but hobbyists and jailbreakers might still find the set-top box useful. Anyone who insists on hanging on to theirs might want to consider turning it into a Kodi box.
The other two casualties in Apple’s pending update are Windows XP and Vista. This is likely to affect a lot more users than the first Apple TV, as there are still millions of people on both of these operating systems. If you’re one of them, you should stop if you can help it. Windows XP isn’t secure and Vista sucks. Just stop it.
