When I open this site it flashes on the top of the page and nothing appears there. I think it's a x-shockwave-flash thingy but I'm not sure?

That may well be a Shockwave (or Flash?) site (there is a fair bit of animation in the banner and associated links), but I had no problems in accessing the site with Safari 1.0 (v85) or IE 5.2.3 on a DP 800/10.2.6.

Hi Sandbox - no trouble opening it on office PC (Win95, IE 5.5), but flashing lasts a few seconds before loading rest of page. If you're on dial-up it could be quite some time....  biggrin.gif  . Checked that links work too for me.

I got a broken Quicktime icon using Safari 1.0 Beta 2 (v74). Imagine that!
Opened fine with IE 5.2.1.

I think the question is, is OS X Flash or something required?

Kelly's comment prompted me to check via my PB G3/333 (OS 9.2.2), IE 5.1.7. The site loads fine, so I don't believe the problem is an OS X thing.

It's a Flash site. Download a Flash Player (there are a bunch on this page - for X and for Classic) and you should be set.

Nice site - though I'm not especially fond of sites that continually spawn new windows when you click on a link to a new page.

Well the upgrade for Flash (Paddy's link) worked on OS 9.2, it’s a 30second download with DSL.
Evidently the new MSIE 5.2 I recently installed wasn’t loaded with the newest Flash or I needed to install it myself. I like the graphics, wish I could create something like that on my web site, but I’m still wondering around in the cave. Ug biggrin.gif

I believe that Flash is always something you have to download yourself - I don't think any browsers come with it pre-installed. Having just done a bunch of PeeCee OS installs, I can vouch for the fact that the PeeCee versions of IE and Netscape require separate Flash installs!

Running OS 9.2.2
I must have the right Flash Player installed for all of them for a change!

Everything seems to work In:
Netscape 7.1
Internet Explorer 5.1.7
ICab 2.9.1
Opera 6.02
Netscape 4.7
Mozilla 1.0.2

Mozilla was by far the fastest to load,
Does it share files with NS 7.1 ???
