I think the "HA" is simply the way we tend to say, "HA HA!". Besides, you used up "h" too many times! Such a waste (pronounced waist). Can't argue with the last syllable, however. Let me eat some dessert and think about that...

The problem is how Craig Federighi (Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering) speaks. I think he's lived in California too long...

Wikipedia almost agrees with you: mo-HAH-vee
Won less "h". And I still say they could ha_ve elimnated the last "H"! :yahoo:

BTW, why did you add a "w" to rong?!

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

First, the HAH is from dictionary.com. Second ... look carefully. The article (and perhaps they got this from Apple?) shows the last syllable as VAY. It's not. The last syllable is VEE.

Now, any thoughts on the new OS?

What does dictionary.com kn ow about pronunciation?! And I already agreed with you on the 'vee' vs 'vay' part. Gimme a break! If you listen to Mr. Federighi, you'll hear how he slurs the 'vee' into a slightly 'vay' way. Maybe it's his Italian influence? :scram:

I got an email from a dev yesterday and he couldn't even spell the word correctly! "Mohave"! No telling how he pronounces the word! :whoosh:
