Clock on icon on iPad

I keep seeing this little alarm clock on my iPad. It always shows up on whatever was the last app that I opened, and it doesn't matter what that app was. What triggers this and what does it mean (if anything)?

What?! :nopity: I have never played a stringed instrument (other than a sling shot)! And I last studied music in Jr. High! :rant:

Seriously, I was amazed I could find multiple posts about the subject just by typing in "what is the alarm clock on ipad app icons?" in DuckDuckGo! I tend to use fewer words rather than more. I do think the "?" helps, however. Perhaps the search algorithms are much smarter than I thought. :thumbup:

FWIW, I did search via google, but all got were results for adding a clock to my ipad.  :dntknw:
