Sacrilege!!! How dare that guy cut a hole in that case!!! :nono:

I could hardly believe the title of this post! I thought maybe you mistyped the model! I actually had  Mac IIsi back about 1992. And I still have my 128k in the closet!!

As for Spotify, I have it installed. I think I used it for almost 15 minutes once.

We had a IIsi too - bought it in 1991 when we moved to Oregon, with a faculty discount at OSU. It was over $4000...which included a 13" colour monitor and a LaserWriter printer.  I think it's the most we ever spent on a Mac!! (well, ok - it DID include the printer...) It had a whopping (upgraded!) 5MB of RAM. Yes, that's right. 5MB. Not 5GB. And a 40MB hard drive. I've created documents bigger than that...

Amazing to think we managed with that, but in those days it was quite the capable beast. A few years later, I got an external hard drive for it - a HUGE 350MB - for about $300.

I've still got the invoice - but the machine itself is long gone.

Love the history stories. Sneakers first Mac was SE/30 at work. Eventually they bought him a second monitor and added some ram. He did loads of stuff with that machine, and he missed it when they gave him a fancy one with color (I don't remember the model). My first Mac was an LC with a 40mg hard drive, and 8mg of ram; and I did amazing things with it (PageMaker, Word 5.1, Excel, Photoshop, FilemakerPro, and more), and finally wore it out.

Now ... if I had an old SE/30, I might be tempted to set up a Spotify system. I play Spotify most of the day. I have Alexa signed in and use "her" speakers throughout the house.
