MacOS 10.14.3
« on: January 23, 2019, 10:14:46 AM »
Here's a weird one:

I downloaded the Combo 10.14.3 Update and tried to install it, but got a message that my internal disk (not to mention the externals) did not meet the requirements for the update. I then went to Software Update and it said that my 10.14.2 system was up to date.

Upon restart, the Combo gave me the same message but SU was able to download and install the Delta update. After installation, I opened the Combo and was given the green light in case I wanted to install it over my 10.14.3 system. (I won't do that unless I notice some issues.)

Any ideas?

I assume you have lots of free space on any/all the drives. I think a "combo" is more like a new install, so it needs lots of free space as opposed to the simpler, smaller update. :dntknw: Of course, it could just be too soon after the lunar eclipse... :scram:

I have plenty of free space, so that's not the issue. I submitted a bug report to Apple and my phone tech support. At least, I did manage to update to 10.4.3.

The error is in Apple's camp. See Alternaut's post in this FTM thread. Maybe it's not the phase of the moon, but Apple's having mooned me.  :D
