iPhone/iPad question
« on: December 06, 2019, 11:35:12 AM »
My wife was creating an email on her iPad (iOS 12.x) and asked me how do add an email address of a third party. Easy. Save the in-progress message as a Draft, do the look up needed, copy the email addy, return to Mail, open the draft, paste. Much more difficult than using a real computer and didn 't take time to start teaching split screen, mirroring, etc. Job done.

Now she wants to add her name on a blank line and send the email.

But WAIT! Her name appeared to be in a smaller font size! How did that happen? More importantly, how can it be made a larger (normal/default) size? :dntknw: :WOW:

My suggestion was to copy some/any other text and paste it where she wanted her name to be. Now, edit that copied text and change it to her name. Stupid and it did not work. The changed text still looked smaller than the other text on screen. :wallbash:

I can see no font size controls for MAIL. Although there are universal controls for text size for the entire phone, that is NOT the issue nor the problem. Despite that, there are many links to that information :wallbash: . I can only conclude that search engines are not paying enough attention! :coolio:

My ultimate conclusion on the "small" text is that it is an optical illusion, which the ultra high resolution screens are supposed to avoid...
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
