BTW, I just noticed that my Dictation prefs allows turning
off the Shortcut setting! Just select "None"! That will
definitely prevent your
accidentally using
any shortcut setting!
When I do speech to text, it's a bit wonky, and sometimes the text doubles up on what I've said,...
1. Humans are not perfect, computers are built by humans, therefore,
2. computers can make more mistakes than humans, alone. That's why dictation (whether by humans or computers) should always be checked for accuracy. Unfortunately, that is usually done by humans, so see item

... and then there's this little pop up box off to the right that I ignore and have not taken a screenshot of it yet.
Have you tried the regular screenshot "capture a selected area of the screen" method?
shift-command-4 That will even capture a menu drop-down, should also a work on a pop-up dialog.
"A picture is worth..." And they usually don't require a 'second' language, gibberish works fine!
