Well, I'm stumped Word is saving to SuperDuper backup instead of desktop

Ah - missed the bit about him not actually wanting to download it.

BUT...I think I've figured it out. The behaviour is the same across all browsers. If you click on the LINK, then yes, it asks you where you want to save it to. If you click on the IMAGE, then it opens normally in a new little window.

The reason that in this particular case the behaviour seems abnormal (the "save as" option) is because the images themselves are so tiny that it's hard to actually click on them, rather than the link - particularly with the second image where the preview thumbnail we're seeing in the forum post is miniscule.

So, Jack - try aiming for the image, and not the link (depending on your screen size this could prove challenging!) and let us know if that solves the mystery. Might have to hit command +  a few times to enlarge the page. That second thumbnail is pretty darn tiny.

Now, if we could just find a happy medium between the teeny-tiny images and the GIGANTIC, pixel-wasting full-screen captures... Fortunately, this forum is set to limit the size of attachments that will prevent most people's full-screen captures from getting uploaded.

Gotta remember, if something gets an underline on it when I hover over it, that's likely a link to something, and if it's an image file, it may try to get downloaded... Most web builders try to remove that default underlining from links, especially on an image, so they can force it to their own "design/style".

We're not doing it for the looks, Jim. Google dropped the underline in their search results years ago.

Unfortunately, I think it is still the default in html (Historically Troubled Media Language?). If you need an underling 'fix' you can always enjoy writing in most forum editors...
