thanx.gif and Hello Ed,

Robin called me on her way back from all the hoopla

the afternoon of the event.  I was so happy for her.

It was a funny conversation as she was on her cell

phone calling me and she was in a canyon, so her

connection kept getting cut off.

I am proud of her, but mostly for her.  She is much

taller than I and prettier than the pictures I saw on the

website.  I often wished that I had half her energy at

the same age.   She has quite a few friends that would

do anything for her.  She has worked hard all of her life

and she certainly deserves all the credit  for her

accomplishments.  When she was growing up, she was a

whirling dervish.  She was always going, doing, and

experiencing and never have I seen such a zest for

living as she has.

She was honestly and truly amazed at the attention.

Fortunately, she does have a good head on her

shoulders.  She has traveled a good deal and still does

some traveling within the US now.

One of the judges has invited her to visit her when she

gets to Nashville.  She has a recording studio in her

home and wants to help Robin as much as she can.

A songwriter came up to her at the event and asked her

if she wanted to do demo tape singing.  I don't know if it

is for a studio or just for his songs.

I told her to pray about all of this and sincerely seek

whatever God's will for her is.

She is an executive assistant for a vp of a company.

She learned how to do office work while working her way

through Hunter College in New York.  The firm was an

agency that handled actors and she got to meet quite a

few well knowns.  The skills she learned there and an

up close and personal look at famous people and how

they behaved will serve her well.

Anyway, how are you and what have you been doing?

Thanks for kind words and I will be sure to tell Robin.

Myrna

I just wanted you to know that you have been missed!

Well, thank-you! But I have been around, just a little less due to some wonderful weather... had to go out and enjoy it! But I don't see me disappearing completely soon... wink.gif

smile.gif  Dreambird,

I am glad to hear that you have been out enjoying the

good weather.  It has been a typical New England

type of weather here in Rhode Island:  Clouds, rain, sun

humid - you name it we have it.

The standing joke in Rhode Island is:  "If you don't like

the weather right now, wait a minute.."

How is Spenser?

Oh, about hope, yes, even for you, my dear. LOL

I'll be around, too.

Later,

Myrna

It's cooled off a little now Myrna but the temps are still in the 70's and the prediction is for closer to 80 again. We had a lengthy spell of high 80's to low 90's that is quite uncommon for Calgary, lots of sun so when it happens I don't waste it! wink.gif

Been having some wild T-Storms the last few days... the kind that send poor Spencer up to the ceiling... smile.gif He hates the really loud claps that sound like trains colliding right over our roof, other than that he's been OK. I think the heat got to him a little, he was sick for a couple of days early in the week... he likes to lay stretched out on the couch right under the fan!  rolleyes.gif

At 12 1/2 he's slowing down a little and doesn't tolerate the extreme temps as well anymore.

That joke...  laugh.gif  I think it's a universal one... here it goes "If you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes!" We don't have the humidity though... it's generally pretty dry around here... and "smokey" lately with all the fires to the west with the prevailing winds coming from there. Our sunsets have been gorgeous though... absolutely "red"...

smile.gif Dreambird,

I love beautiful sunsets.

Glad to hear that Spencer is alright.  I used to watch

the storms from my window.  The sky would light up

like the Aurora Borealis.  Watching all the lightening

seemed more surreal, at least, at a safe distance.

In my new location, the rumble of thunder and its

attendant lightening are very close, indeed, and

no longer at a safe viewing distance.

Rhode Islanders, are always interested in the weather,

and all its natural phenomenon.

PS: Rhode Island is having a Tropical humidity wave now.
