It’s asking me to upgrade to IE5.5- or 6.0 which is Wintel

I have the latest MSIE 5.1.7 for OS 9.2 but it’s not working.
Neither does Netscape 7, for me anywho. taped.gif

That site is just plain "not Mac friendly". I tried Safari, Internet Explorer and Mozilla. They all go the same results... just the copy that you describe.

Same here...

I even tried to fool the site by changing the "user agent" id of Safari to Windows MSIE 6.0 through the debug menu, but no such luck.

I get the same as Sandbox with Safari 1.0 and IE 5.2.3.

Hi Sandbox,

I can't use the applisations part of the site either, from Mozilla 1.5b on Linux.

I noticed in the links there are references to .dlls, asp - (asp scripts can be written for global access, but they indicate a microsoft mindset), and xml. (xml also has a global standard, but if the site creators are M$ groupies, they may not have coded things for global access.

The site seems to belong to a consultant type, who is able to provide access to government funds. They may fall under the requirements to provide universal accessibility. If this is true, they are definitely out of compliance.

I would complain long and loud if you need this site. I'm sure we can add our voices to yours if you go unheard.

Sandbox,

With Netscape 7.02, the first link gives me a warning that I'm entering an encripted page...I click OK. Then the second link,
"Click here to view the 2003 submitted Applications" takes me to a window with a header for the Florida Housing Finance Corp.

On that page are 3 buttons: Log-in, Registration and Submitted Applications. The rest of the page is blank. I think it's supposed to be that way. It also has the Verisign Secure Site logo at the top next to the header. I'm on OS10.2.6.

SB, you probably already know this but these pages may give you access to the forms you need in pdf form. Not sure, but seems to have some of them.

To my surprise, you can trick it!

iCab (v.2.9.1) works if you simply identify it as MSIE 6.0.
But that's a rather  complicated way of getting an invitation to log on:


To do that, of course, you also need to register.

But when you try to register, that gets you this far:

I wish you more joy of it by using Kris's much easier technique.
