A year or so ago, I received an email that had a Microsoft Word document attached. Since I didn't have MS Word, I assumed I wouldn't be able to read the attachment, but I double-clicked it anyway to see what would happen.
Immediately my computer began downloading MS Word 98, Mac edition. So ever since then, I've had that program. I was surprised, but then concluded that maybe it's a marketing tool used by Mr. Bill (giving people a free copy of an older version of the program) to get them interested in future upgrades.
Has anyone else had this experience?
