the latest Amazon outrage

Amazon devices will soon automatically share your Internet with neighbors Another reason why I use an ethernet connection instead of WiFi.

Just another reason I avoid any contact with Amazon. :wallbash:

I think the last line says it best: “Amazon representatives didn’t respond to a request for comment.”

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

I'm not a fan of companies turning things on without telling me first, but now that we know we can make our own decision on leaving it on or turning it off. Personally, I haven't plugged in any of my Amazon devices, and likely won't -- only because I don't miss them.

Although this involves Google, not Amazon, the "outrage" word in the title of this thread makes it relevant. Google made it hard for users to keep location data private For better or worse, I do not have a smart phone and don't want one. My dumb phone makes phone calls, and that's all that I want it for.

As for Google, DuckDuckGo has a version for iOS (and probably for Android). I don't think they have one for
'dumb OS' yet.
